 요금과 관련된 단어가 참 많죠?
fee, fare, toll, fine, etc…….

 이 단어들의 공통점은
청구되거나 지불되는 금액이라는 것입니다.

 그럼 이제 차이점에 대해 알아볼까요?

 fee

 fee는 서비스에 대한 요금이나
모임 같은 곳에서 내는 회비라고 보시면 되요.

     There is no fee for the visa.
     비자는 무료로 발급된다.

 fare

 fare은 교통수단을 이용할 때 내는 요금입니다.

     지하철 요금이 인상되었다.

 toll

 toll은 교통과 관련된 시설을 이용할 때 내는 요금입니다.

     통행료가 의외로 싸네요.

1.  A fine is a punishment in which a person is ordered to pay a sum of money because they have done something illegal or broken a rule.

 fine은 규칙이나 법을 어겼을 때 부과되는 요금입니다.
ex) a parking fine   주차 위반 벌금

     subject to a substantial fine   상당한 벌금이 부과되는

     He was punished with a fine.
     그는 벌금형을 선고받았다.

     How much is the fine for parking?
     주차 위반 벌금은 얼마입니까?

 비슷하게 생겨도 의미는 다르죠?
확실하게 구분해서 헷갈리지 않도록 노력합시다!

 식사를 하고 나가면서 계산하러 갈 때,
보통 ´빌지 주세요.´라고 하시죠?

 bill

 bill이 ´계산서´라는 의미를 가지고 있으니깐
´빌지´라는 단어는 잘못된 표현입니다.

 ´bill 주세요.´라고 하는 게 맞지만
조금 어색하시다면

 택시를 타고 목적지에 도착하였습니다.
요금을 계산하려고 하는데,

이 말은 영어로는 어떻게 쓸까요?
